Get Hitched

Have your wedding party in a proper Grassroots Music Venue.

First of all this isn’t for everyone BUT if you like going to gigs and fancy that kind of vibe for your wedding party this might be a good option.

We have a 150 capacity room where you can have some bands, drink some beers, wine or some fizz. We can organise a Prosecco reception on arrival or you can just let your guests order what they want from the bar. The venue is rough round the edges, there are no windows and the walls are black BUT we have a massive glitter ball, a stage, lights and a bar (did we mention the bar)! SO you can have a gig and a bit of a knees up with your friends and family and it wont cost the earth… our rates are very reasonable.

We can only do afternoons but this has worked nicely for many happy couples. The venue is available from midday til 4pm.

You are then welcome to move into the public bar to continue the party til 6pm (later depending on what day of the week it is). You can get set up before midday and bands can soundcheck from 10am.

We can also help you book a band or bands and a DJ or you can bring your own… you pay for who you want to play at your wedding. Some folks get their mates to play so there are lots of options.

We know plenty of tribute bands, covers bands as well as DJs who can play pretty much anything from Pop Punk to Hip Hop, Disco to Britpop. Or just bring a playlist if that works for you.

We have a plant based kitchen who can provide food we can’t have any outside catering I’m afraid but take a look at their menu and see what they can offer here.

They are more than happy to cater for more specific needs should you wish for something a bit more bespoke. They can even bake you a cake.

We are not licensed for legal ceremonies at The Hope & Ruin however we are a 10 minute walk from Brighton Town Hall where many folk get hitched.

For more info and hire fee options message Sally here : manager@hope.pub and she will be in touch to see if we can make your party a day to remember.
